Papillon House

Experience that special moment on your first morning when you stand on the balcony of this beautiful stone villa and gaze across the olive groves and goat meadow to the Ionian sea at Fiskardo. Often the sound will be the melodious tinkle of goat bells. An ancient stone footpath runs along the side of the house and will bring you a few minutes away to the charming hamlet of Antipata with its traditional taverna and Italian wine bar.

Papillon House, Has been purposely designed inside and out and top to bottom by Marcus Love, with  the intention of really having a lateral energetic flowing living space of around 130sqm

The property consists of 2 double bedrooms, I x master xtra large suite with a very luxurious large bathroom with handmade cement bath and walk in shower; the 2nd bedroom is a small double or twin beds if preferred at booking.

The 2nd bedroom also has its own in/outdoor bathroom - with a walk in shower.

Both bedrooms have balcony doors that lead to outer areas and their own morning coffee tables in the tranquil grounds.

The large living area has a dining area in front of the kitchen - which is well equipped and has a large double fronted FF with ice machine expresso machine and juice squeezer, this leads onto the living room which had 2 large wide daybed stone sofas

which could cater for little ones if wanted and a central blue-tooth sound system for the property,  there are the 2 balcony doors that lead from this space directly to the pool and dining areas.

The infinity pool 10m x 3.5m ( 1m - 1.7m depth) faces directly to the olive grove that leads to the Ionian sea with shower and  sun beds on the upper and lower deck areas to take up the sunshine.

The house has 3 dining areas 1 x inner and a small and very large outer table with use of a BBQ.

The grounds have some beautiful trees and plants and its own small vegetable area

Parking is ample with private car parking spaces and bays and a private drive.

The linen is changed mid week for tour stay and we promote to be very aware of water reserves and not to waist as we are supplied with fresh water truck deliveries, We also ask that you conserve energy of course

and only use really what is required and of course turn off all lights and AC’S - taps.

Our team is on hand to look after your every need: from a concierge service able to organise everything from private boat hire to tailor-made yoga classes (all bookable prior to your holiday, or in resort), to regular and discrete housekeeping service, garden maintenance and pool cleaning.

Outside, there is the fabulous pergola with a great traditional handmade dining table, comfort seating, hand-crafted lighting features and all to the sound of a Marshall Amp sound system.

The setting is secluded and private and yet, from here, you can easily immerse yourself in an authentic Greek island experience. You could take a walk on one of the many foot-trails (monopati) around the house. Perhaps take the monopati for a morning dip in secluded Dafnoudi beach, one of many in the area. The unique pedestrian-only port town of Fiskardo is only five minutes away by car. This Venetian gem is the jewel of the island and offers premium waterfront dining, boutiques and crafts amidst beautiful architecture and views.

Io provides a sense of sanctuary and discreet service in the context of island living whether it is lounging by the pool, sundowners on the terrace, traditional music in the local restaurant or the many water and island activities on offer. Quite simply, for the owners as much as for guests, Io House offers the kind of magical experience we used to dream about during the working months.
